The Harmony® prenatal test
'Clear answers to questions that matter'
Since non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) first became available in early 2013, there have been changes to test methodologies and new evidence has emerged about test performance. We carefully reviewed the evidence regarding the accuracy and reliability of different forms of NIPT, and chose the Harmony prenatal test. We constantly review the medical literature on NIPT to ensure that we are providing you with a test that meets these high standards.
Greater confidence

As part of the testing process, our NIPT includes a precise and accurate measure of the amount of fetal DNA in your blood before proceeding with chromosome analysis. This step is very important as it ensures that there is enough of your baby’s DNA available in your blood to provide a reliable result.
Unsurpassed accuracy
From as early as 10 completed weeks’ completed gestation, non-invasive prenatal testing accurately assessed the probability of Down syndrome in pregnant women, aged 18–48.
Quality assurance
The quality and stability of the Harmony prenatal test has been proven in more than 1,400,000 patient samples throughout the world. Other NIPT methods cannot provide the same assurance regarding consistency.
Performed in Australia
Sonic Genetics has performed the Harmony non-invasive prenatal test in our Australian laboratory since 2015. We have tested many thousands of women in that time.
