New England Journal of Medicine Study
Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) outperforms First Trimester Combined Screening (FTS) in both Detection and False-Positive Rate in a head-to-head comparison blinded study (n=15,841). The NIPT used in this study was Harmony.
More than 15,000 women, regardless of age or risk, were enrolled in this unique study that compared the performance of two prenatal tests. The results, published recently in the New England Journal of Medicine, show the non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) significantly outperforms the current screening standard for trisomy 21. The NIPT used in this study was Harmony.
